Deputies

The National Assembly is headed by the President who is elected by a majority vote of all deputies. The President represents the National Assembly, directs its work, convenes and presides over the sessions, and signs laws and other acts adopted by the National Assembly. Furthermore, the President provides for cooperation with representative bodies of other states.

The National Assembly comprises 90 deputies, elected in 9 constituencies. Among them, there are the two deputies representing the Italian and Hungarian national communities, respectively.
