Mission
The National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia is the supreme representative and legislative institution, exercising legislative and electoral powers as well as control over the Executive and the Judiciary.
Parliamentary building
The parliamentary building is located in the centre of Ljubljana and houses the National Assembly and the National Council. It was designed by the architect Vinko Glanz. The main facade accent is on the portal featuring symbolic sculptural compositions by Karel Putrih and Zdenko Kalin. In addition to the Large (plenary) Hall and the Small Hall where the National Council meets, the building contains several meeting rooms, reception rooms, a press centre, and a library.
Open Doors days
The parliamentary building may be visited every second Saturday of the month during the Open Doors days. Groups may visit the building every working day upon prior agreement with the Public Relations Service.

With the project Harvest of Knowledge, the National Assembly and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology present scientific achievements and their implications.
Public information
An public information is an information regarding the scope of work of an institution, presented in the form of a document, file, record, or other documentary material prepared by the institution alone or in cooperation with other institutions, or acquired from third parties.
Public contracts
Public contracts are concluded for the purchase of material and services commissioned by the state. A public contract is assigned following a public procurement procedure which starts with the announcement of a public tender.
